Set within 20 acres of rolling Worcestershire countryside, Wagtail Retreat is more than just a place to stay — it’s the craftsmanship of James and Chloe. What began as their family home has evolved into a working vineyard, a wildlife haven, and a collection of three beautifully crafted cabins overlooking a tranquil lake.

Every detail, from the reclaimed oak decks to the hand-tiled interiors, has been designed and built by the couple themselves, combining design, sustainability, and a love for the landscape that surrounds them.

Our accommodation offers three large, beautifully appointed cabins set in a unique lakeside setting. If you are planning a romantic getaway, a dog-friendly break or just looking to get away from it all, we have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Dog Friendly

Your four-legged friends are more than welcome to Wagtail Retreat. We provide dog beds, treats, bowls and dog towels for up to two dogs per cabin.

“A must-stay for a recuperating break in wonderful Worcestershire. With spectacular views out to the Malvern Hills, nestled on the edge of a vineyard, not another sole in sight; enjoy wild swimming, al fresco hot baths, peace and tranquillity. We stayed in one of the three beautifully apportioned remote huts. Very comfortable beds. Oodles of hot water and great WiFi. A fabulous escape from the rat race. Or a base for adventuring in the local area with great walks. What’s not to like? A gorgeous location for a break or to work in peace. Highly recommended.”
