Created by James and Chloe, each of the three cabins have been thoughtfully designed and built by hand — from reclaimed oak decks to Welsh wool insulation and hand-tiled interiors.

It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and experience the rhythm of rural life, where the only rush is the wind across the vineyard.

The Vineyard at Wagtail

Our small, family-run vineyard is the heart of Wagtail Retreat. Planted eight years ago by James and Chloe, it remains lovingly cared for to this day. The vines shape the landscape around our cabins, producing limited-edition English wines that capture the character of Worcestershire’s rolling hills.

Guests can wander through the vineyard paths, enjoy a glass on the deck, or take a bottle home to relive a little Wagtail magic.

Each cabin is insulated with Welsh sheep’s wool, furnished with reclaimed wood, and finished with locally sourced materials. Wildflower meadows, a thriving lake ecosystem, and our sustainable vineyard all work together to protect the land we love.
